Diving in LocksSupplementary regional training — Fire Brigade Diver & Dive Team Leader
Locks carry specific risks due to the locking process, water movement and suction when operating gates and sluices. This supplementary training combines knowledge of how a lock works with practical exercise in the lock chamber — in close coordination with the lock operator.

For whom
Registered fire brigade divers and dive team leaders who may encounter locks within their operational area.
Good to know
Duration: 1 practice day (theory + practice) · Regional supplement, frequency according to the regional proficiency plan. Diving in a lock takes place only after the locking process and shipping have been demonstrably halted.
