Our Launch & Recovery System (LARS) puts your dive team into the water — and back on deck — safely and under control. With an A-frame rated SWL 1,500 kg and a 2-person dive basket, it's a robust, compact system that's quick to deploy at virtually any location. The entire system can be moved by truck, so mobilisation to the work site is a matter of loading, driving and setting up.

What is a LARS system?
LARS stands for Launch and Recovery System: it puts a dive team into the water — and back on deck — safely and under control. Our LARS consists of an A-frame rated SWL (safe working load) 1,500 kg and a 2-person dive basket, driven by hydraulic winches.
Can I rent the LARS on its own, or only together with the dive pit?
The LARS can be rented as a standalone, mobile system — the entire unit can be moved by truck to any location. On our own site the LARS crane is also mounted above the 21m dive pit and is included when you rent the dive pit.
What's included when renting the LARS?
Renting our facilities, including the LARS, includes use of the facility, changing rooms and sanitary facilities, a theory/briefing room and parking spaces. An instructor/supervision, diving equipment, catering and overnight stay in the region can be added as options.
What certifications and training is the LARS used for?
At BC-opleidingen the LARS is used for B30 to B50 diving operations and examinations, both during training and at official certification exams. Beyond that it is suitable for commercial diving, underwater inspection and salvage work, short or long term.
