Duikploegleider (Dive Team Leader, DPL)
Lead a dive team safely
Description
In the Duikploegleider (Dive Team Leader, DPL) training you learn to lead a dive team and to ensure that the duikarbeid (commercial diving work) is carried out safely. You develop a high level of risk awareness and are familiar with the relevant laws and regulations.
As a duikploegleider you learn to:
• As a delegated employer, give effect to laws and regulations at the dive site
• Lead the dive team from a risk-aware perspective
• Act as crisis manager in the event of emergencies
For the DPL training you must hold one or more registrations in the Register Civiele Duikarbeid (Civil Diving Work Register) in category A9 to A30, B30 to B50 or C. The training is available in the SCUBA and SSE modules and consists of approx. 20 hours of online self-study and a practical training of 4 days plus 1 examination day.
Cost: €2,140 excl. VAT (excluding examination fees).
Registration
The examination is conducted by an independent examination body. After successfully passing the examination, you are registered in the Register Civiele Duikarbeid (Civil Diving Work Register) by the Registratie Instelling NDC-RI (Registration Institute).
Entry requirements
General admission requirements: you meet (or have met) the assessment requirements for registration for duikarbeid (commercial diving) in the Register Civiele Duikarbeid (Civil Diving Work Register); if necessary, you have your own diving clothing (undergarments and liner).
For A9:
• Minimum age 21 years
• At least 2 calendar years of experience with commercial diving in category A9 and at least 30 dives with Scuba
For A15 to B50:
• Minimum age 24 years
• A15: at least 2 calendar years of experience with commercial diving in category A15 and at least 50 scuba dives
• A30: at least 2 calendar years of experience with commercial diving in category A30 and at least 50 scuba dives
• B30/B50: at least 2 calendar years of experience (A15, A30, B30 or B50) and at least 100 dives
Certification
The examination is conducted by an independent examination body. After successfully passing the examination, you are registered in the Register Civiele Duikarbeid (Civil Diving Work Register) by the Registratie Instelling NDC-RI (Registration Institute).
