Refresher Course DMB-B1 Fire Brigade

The Dive Medical Attendant B1 (DMB-B1) registration for the fire brigade is valid for 2 years. After that you take a refresher course and sit the examination for re-registration. The DMB-B1 supports the dive team during diving work in the scopes A9, A15 and A15 OLV — no-decompression diving; the fire brigade dives on A15 OLV. About the course The refresher course consists of theory and practice. You study the theory online in the national ELO of the RI-NIPV, where you work only on the knowledge that has faded: you first take an entry test and are then automatically presented with the theory you need for your examination. Through the MemoTrainer you keep your knowledge up to standard. The practical part lasts one day and takes place at the BC-opleidingen training centre (or on request on location in the region); on that day there is also time to discuss the theory with the instructor. In doing so we refresh the core of the DMB work: first aid procedures and resuscitation, recognising the symptoms of diving diseases and applying the first aid treatment of dive medical conditions. The following day the examination is administered by an independent examination body. Amounts are exclusive of examination fees. Registration The examination is administered by an independent examination body. After successfully passing the examination you are re-registered via the Registration Institute (RI) RI-NIPV in the Register duikarbeid brandweer en politie (RDB). The examination fees are determined by the RI-NIPV and charged separately.
