Medical support during no-decompression diving — scopes A9, A15 and A15 OLV
Description
The duikmedisch begeleider (dive medical attendant, DMB) is part of the dive team to recognise a diving accident in an emergency and provide first aid. The DMB-B1 supports the dive team during diving work in the scopes A9, A15 and A15 OLV — no-decompression diving.
After the DMB-B1 training:
• You apply first aid procedures and resuscitation
• You have knowledge of the medical risks of diving and can take preventive measures
• You have knowledge of physics and extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• You recognise the symptoms of diving diseases
• You apply the first aid treatment of dive medical conditions
Structure
• DMB-B1: approx. 40 hours of online self-study + 1 practical day + 1 exam day
Amounts are exclusive of exam fees.
Registration
The exam is administered by an independent examination institute. After successfully passing the exam, you are registered in the Register Civiele Duikarbeid (Register of Civil Diving Work) by the Registration Institute (NDC-RI).
Certification
