Professional Diver B30

In the Professional Diver B30 training you are trained and registered for diving operations with Surface Supplied Equipment (SSE) to 30 metres. Do you want to work in the civil sector with powered underwater tools? Then B30 is the minimum requirement. Qualification • B30: SSE to 30 metres (SCUBA = Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus, SSE = Surface Supplied Equipment.) The training The training consists of a combination of online self-study via our digital learning environment and a practical training course at the diving centre in Enkhuizen. In the practical training you first learn to dive safely and responsibly: how to rescue yourself and your colleague in water without visibility and what the procedures are in emergency situations. After that you move on to the actual underwater work. During the training you develop knowledge and skills in, among other things: • Legislation regarding diving operations (Duikarbeid) • Diving systems and equipment • Communication during diving operations • Maritime topics such as tides, currents, wind strength and compass • Diving in contaminated water • Diving operations beneath vessels • Working with loads: ropework, hitches and knots, lifting and securing equipment • Decompression tables • Basic physics, physiology and knowledge of diving illnesses • Inspections, search and work methods and producing a report • Working with tools such as underwater welding, airlift, high-pressure water jet and hydraulic equipment Costs Contact us for the current costs and duration of the training for scope B30 (excluding examination costs). When progressing from a lower category, adjusted costs apply, depending on the registrations you have obtained. Registration The examination (proof of competence) is conducted by an independent examination institution (including Hobéon-SKO). After successfully passing the examination, you are registered by the Registration Institute NDC-RI in the Register for Civil Diving Operations (Register Civiele Duikarbeid). The examination costs are determined by the examination institution and charged separately.

• Minimum age 18 years • A mature work attitude • A valid diving medical examination, carried out by a certified physician B (arts B) and valid throughout the entire training • Diving kit (drysuit, undergarments and liner) — bring your own or hire/buy it from us; owning your own is not required
