Stay up to date with what is changing in fire brigade diving. In one half-day session we bring you up to speed on new procedures, equipment and regulations — and what that means for your own operations.
What will you learn?
- Name innovations in fire brigade diving and apply them to your own working method
- Explain new and amended procedures and apply them in the correct order
- Demonstrate safety awareness by recognising and naming the risks of changes
Can be extended with (optional)
- Explain the changes in the 2026 industry guideline compared with 2021 (including BRW-BWD.03 and BRW-BWD.06)
- Discuss developments in equipment (OLV, underwater drone/ROV, communication)
- Contribute and discuss current issues from your own safety region
About the training
In this theory session, fire brigade divers and dive team leaders are brought up to date on the innovations in fire brigade diving: new and amended procedures, developments in equipment and regulations, and the lessons that follow from them for their own operations. Safety awareness runs through the session as a common thread.

- 1 half-day session (approx. 4 hours), including evaluation and logbook registration.
- Target group
- Registered fire brigade divers and dive team leaders. For both roles, the session counts as an exercise moment within the registration period.

What does the law require?
Fire brigade divers and dive team leaders have been registered with the NIPV since 1 October 2024. To keep your registration, you show every two years, with your logbook, that you have practised enough. The industry guideline on ongoing professional competence (2026) determines which exercises these are. At BC-opleidingen every course follows that guideline, and you receive the right code for your logbook.
