International students

Divers from across the world train in Enkhuizen — for the full commercial diving programme, underwater welding or the Diver Medic Technician course. Here is everything you need to arrange before you travel.

Language

Course materials and instruction are available in English for international participants. Contact us to confirm the language set-up for your specific programme and start date before you book.

Your current certificate

Joining a specialisation (welding, diver medic) requires a recognised professional diving qualification. Hold an HSE, ADAS, DCBC or other national certificate? Email a copy — we assess equivalence individually and tell you exactly where you stand.

Getting here

Enkhuizen is about one hour from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport by car or train. The campus is on the waterfront: Voorland 13, Enkhuizen.

Visa

EU/EEA citizens travel freely. Many nationalities can visit the Schengen area visa-free for short stays; others need a short-stay Schengen visa (type C) — start early, processing takes several weeks. We provide a confirmation of enrolment for your application.

Accommodation

Enkhuizen is a compact harbour town with hotels, B&Bs and holiday parks in every price range. We gladly share suggestions near the campus when you book.

Diving medical

You need a valid occupational diving medical. If yours expires around the course dates, arrange renewal in advance — we can point you to approved diving physicians in the Netherlands.

Payment & employers

Many international participants are sponsored by their employer. We invoice companies directly (PO number possible) and support group bookings — see our corporate training page.

Check your eligibility before you book

Send us your certificate (if any), your goal and your preferred period. We reply with a concrete admission assessment and the next available dates.
